Thought Leadership - The Evolution of the Workplace

Omada has been out and about sharing its philosophy with the working world again this month. This time the forum was a thought leadership event hosted by Paramount Interiors in partnership with Lee Wakemans and Optimise Change. ‘The Evolution of the Workplace’ event featured 2 keynote speakers - Marc Bird, Head of Marketing for the UK arm of Kinnarps, and Grant Morffew, Managing Director of Omada Consulting.It was an interesting pairing – Kinnarps is Europe’s leading modern office furniture manufacturers, and so naturally Marc had a lot to say about how the deliberate shaping of the work space to meet the needs of 21^st century working habits can significantly influence an organisation’s culture. As an occupational psychologist, Grant also shared his thoughts on the importance of space and environment, but more so either as a manifestation of culture or as one tool for shaping it.  But he was clear that the behaviours from the leadership of any organisation impact most in shaping an organisation’s culture.  That assertion was put to the test when the audience were asked to express their likely preference for one of the two scenarios, ‘great boss, great team, poor place’ or ‘poor boss, poor team, great space’.The evening was a vibrant success and we look forward to more thought leadership participation later this year.http://www.optimisechange.com/
