Our Chosen Charities for 2014
We did promise that we’d be announcing our chosen charities for 2014, and the moment has finally arrived. We’ve extended our interest this year, and spotted three separate charities we’d like to support. We will be supporting and highlighting the work of last year’s chosen charity The Legacy List for a further year. They have been doing splendid work in the artistic, educational and cultural regeneration of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and there’s more to come in 2014 with new CEO Richard Robinson at the helm. Our two new charities for 2014 are just as exciting. Anyone familiar with the Omada team will know that the subject of cricket is one close to our collective heart. So we’ve decided to support The Cricket Foundation. They raise funds to bring cricket coaching to boys and girls in primary and secondary state schools, and to develop sporting opportunities for children growing up in areas lacking in green spaces. Finally, we will be supporting Hogar San Pablo, a children’s home in Mazatlán, Mexico. This remarkable home provides care, education and rehabilitation for young people aged 9 to 19 who have been victims of neglect or abuse, or who have lost their families. It was first brought to our attention by a former client of ours who now volunteers there, and we were so moved by the stories we heard, we wanted to get involved too.Take a look at their websites to read more about the amazing work these three charities are doing or follow us on Twitter or Facebook for regular updates on some of their activities.www.thelegacylist.org.ukwww.cricketfoundation.org.ukwww.hogarsanpablo.com
