Helping you help the National Emergencies Trust Covid-19 Appeal

Firstly and most importantly, we hope you and yours are safe and well.

In these unsettling and uncertain times, people need trust, compassion, stability and hope from their leaders. In order to support your organisation, we’d like to offer you and your team a 90 minute online workshop, led by Omada’s Janie van Hool, which will focus on virtual influencing skills.

It will be fun, informative and we hope a positive shared experience at this difficult time. In return, we simply ask that your team members or your company, or both, pledge and make a donation to the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal. NET was set up by the Charities Commission in the wake of a series of UK emergencies in 2017 - from the terrorist attacks in Manchester and London to Grenfell - to establish a better way of responding to national emergencies and it needs our help now.

Janie has been a member of the Omada team for over 10 years. She is a RADA trained actress, published author and also a regular guest tutor on ‘Voice and Speech’ and ‘Vocal Interpretation’ at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Janie works with senior executives to develop presentational style, negotiation methodologies and high impact leadership capabilities, as well as helping executives develop critical speeches, key messaging and delivery techniques. She has undertaken multiple assignments with both the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and Home Office and has an MSc in Performance Psychology and an MA in Voice.

In this online workshop, Janie settles her gaze on the world of virtual meetings. In recent times, many of us have found ourselves logging on to virtual meetings in Microsoft Teams, Zoom, BlueJeans, Skype and any number of other online virtual meeting platforms. The challenge with virtual meetings is that they offer us ‘the presence of absence … and the absence of presence’. In short, they can be exhausting, sometimes chaotic, and in some colleagues they may even heighten levels of anxiety, depression, and feelings of isolation.

Janie’s session will offer a vaccine to ward off those virtual meeting blues, demonstrating how to run such meetings effectively, enjoyably, with purpose, and at scale.

If you would like Janie to run this online workshop for your team or colleagues (maximum 10 people), please email Grant at gmorffew@omadaconsulting.com.

Stay well.

Grant and the Omada Team.
