Kerry Elkins takes to the airwaves on Radio 4 this Sunday
If you've spent any time around the team at Omada you will have almost certainly had the opportunity to meet or at least speak with Kerry Elkins. Kerry's background in theatre was ideal preparation for her role here at Omada. Like the best of Stage Managers, Kerry does a magnificent job of making sure the Omada team members never miss their cues, always turn up at the right time and always have the right props in hand. She is a force to be reckoned with and we value her highly. And she has many talents. Formerly a successful TV actress (Holby City, The Bill, Strange, Love Soup and many more) she has also been Head of Drama, Head of English, and Head of Drama & English (!) at a number of Oxfordshire schools. In her spare time she now sings in some very accomplished Bristol and South West choirs as well as providing audio describing services to the visually impaired during leading theatre productions. And if you want to talk literature, which we often do around here, there's nobody better. So we're very proud to share the news that Kerry can be heard on Radio 4 this coming Sunday May 19th at 4.30pm reading a variety of poems on Poetry Please, presented by Roger McGough. Poems on this week's edition include Stevie Smith's macabre work The River God and a more benign reflection on nature from the great pre-Raphaelite Dante Gabriel Rossetti in his poem 'Silent Noon'.
