Sarah Weir nominated for 2013 First Women Awards
Last Friday we managed to take some friends of Omada to visit The Legacy List, one of our sponsored charities. As many of you will know The Legacy List is responsible for the creative development of the London 2012 Olympic Park, making connections between people and its artistic, educational and entrepreneurial development activities. Sarah kindly gave us a tour of the park, which again in some ways resembles that building plant strewn acreage we saw when we first took a client team to visit Sarah and her then colleagues at the Olympic Delivery Authority back in August 2011. As the friends of Omada observed, it was a privilege to see the work in progress and to hear about the vision and plans for the park and The Legacy List. And we're delighted to say that it looks like their organisation is going to be able to provide some support to The Legacy List going forward. The other great piece of news is that Sarah has been shortlisted for the 2013 First Women Awards sponsored by Lloyds Banking Group. Whether or not Sarah is selected as the ultimate award winner at the gala dinner on June 12th, her shortlisting is a massively well deserved recognition of the work that she and The Legacy List do... but we'll have all our fingers and toes crossed on the night nevertheless.A big thanks to Sarah, her team and the friends of Omada for making it such an enjoyable visit.
